Failure Modes Effect and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)

FMECA is an effective reliability analysis tool and is often a precursor to a successful Reliability Model. Effective FMECA can only be performed by personnel intimately familiar with the design and operation of the system, and with effective facilitation. The Fidelis Group can supply experienced analysts to facilitate the process and help guide your team through a successful FMECA. We can facilitate the analysis down to any level (unit, sub-unit, part, etc) that is appropriate to supply the deliverables that meet your objectives. This can be done "stand alone" or as a part of a more comprehensive analysis such as a Reliability Model or and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis.

The primary output of the FMECA is a list of failure modes that potentially contribute to non-performance, probabilities of occurrence, impact of occurrence, and a rank index identifying the criticality of each component of the analysis. Our analysts have years of experience in the application of FMECA methods and can help guide you through the process to deliver criticality rankings for your system.
