Built on a cutting edge platform using state of the art technology
Titan
is built on a state of the art platform and fully compatible with the
latest Microsoft technologies for interfacing with other applications
(SQL, COM, XML). In simple terms, this means you can easily interface
with existing databases (Access, SQL Server, etc) and common
applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).
| User friendly Graphical User Interface with Case Manager |
|
| The
Simulation Control Panel (SCP) is the user friendly intuitive Graphical
User Interface (GUI) that serves as the bridge between the user and the
complex, robust, Monte Carlo simulation engine that powers the software
package. Projects are kept neatly organized into a single project file
that includes all case runs, inputs, and outputs for any given
simulation study. Time and date stamps keep track of when cases were
built and when they were last run to avoid confusion with multiple
alternate scenarios. |

| Intuitive Data Input to feed the powerful Monte Carlo Simulation Engine |
|
Titan
supports a full range of inputs to describe the failure and
repair characteristics of simulated components. Titan’s robust RAM Data
Editor (RDE) allows for easy input of data and provides import features
like print, print preview, search functions, and cut/paste. Titan’s
simulation engine robustly handles equipment aging and gives user the
ability to adjust the age of any component at any point in the
simulation (resetting equipment age to 0 or any number for that matter
at a planned maintenance event, for example). |

|
| |
|
| Easy modeling of multi-state systems |
|
Titan
goes beyond the traditional 2 state reliability block diagram analysis
tools and allows the user to specify rate responses of modeled
components. Components can cause capacity impact of any value between 0
and 100% inclusive. |

|
| Powerful Graphics generation using Microsoft Visio |
|
Titan
graphics are built with Microsoft Visio, which allows users to
customize and annotate the actual model diagrams for use in reports.
Titan provides an option for real time animation of the simulation
within the same graphic that you use to build the model. Animation is
an indispensable tool for validation and verification of complex
models. After a model gets to the lowest levels of complexity, scouring
through tables to validate responses to modeled event becomes a
daunting, even impossible task. Graphical simulation shows the system
response to events with objects that change color as they change state
and tank levels that move up and down in response to system states,
making validation a much less perplexing exercise.
Units
of the System Flow Diagram can be further defined to any level desired
through the use of Sub-Units and Components. Microsoft Visio is also
used to build this lower level of detailed, multi-state Reliability
Block Diagrams.

|
| Titan features Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications making it fully customizable to fit any simulation need |
|
| Titan
incorporates Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to allow for
complete customization of any simulation. VBA is the Microsoft standard
for user coding and customization of applications. Titan uses the same
VBA Integrated Development Environment that engineers are familiar with
from Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, etc). VBA gives access
to Titan simulation objects at key points in the simulation. The VBA
IDE intellisense makes for easy programming of complex operating rules. |

| |
|
| Powerful presentation using fully exportable charts, graphs, and tables |
|
Titan
yields outputs in the form of graphs and tables, both of which are
exportable to other Windows applications for the purpose of report and
presentation generation. Double clicking on any Titan Graph yields an
exportable table of the data used to generate that graph. And, of
course, with the power of VBA integrated directly into Titan, the user
is free to create any custom output he chooses, and this solution is
easily modularized and leveraged to any number of other models.
